THE NEW "SUPERCARS" EXHIBITION "SUPERCARS" OPENS AT THE ENZO FERRARI MUSEUM IN MODENA

AN INTERACTIVE JOURNEY TO DISCOVER FERRARI SUPERCARS AND THEIR SECRETS KEPT IN MARANELLO ARCHIVES.

Maranello, 24 February 2024 - On February 18th, to celebrate the birthday of Enzo Ferrari, the eponymous museum in Modena will inaugurate a new exhibition, "Supercars": a new display of great visual impact that completely renews the museum experience.

Once again, the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena offers fans and enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse the opportunity to access a company area that is normally inaccessible: as the doors of the Ferrari Archive open - a treasure trove cultivated with foresight since the company's foundation in 1947, and constantly enriched over time - become available for all to enjoy. A chest of memories, a silent guardian that holds the indelible traces of the past and uniquely reveals the creative process that gave birth to unparalleled automotive masterpieces.

Today, this hidden treasure is partially unveiled to the public through the digitization of archive content adding a new interactive element for all ages to enjoy, offering visitors to the Enzo Ferrari Museum a privileged glimpse into the evolution of the company that has written unforgettable pages in the history of automotive engineering. The focus of the exhibition is on the supercars, the models that have represented milestones in Ferrari's history and beyond, epitomizing excellence at the highest levels, and embodying the highest standards of technological research.

The heart of the exhibition consists of 5 interactive and multifunctional digital islands, one for each supercar, allowing visitors to discover the details and connections that enabled the development of these cars: a selection of about 2000 items including photographs, videos, drawings, documents, and publications from the Ferrari Archive, now digitally accessible.

In addition to exploring the digitized Archive, the visit is made dynamic and engaging through a combination of thematic and interactive experiences that, for the first time at the Ferrari Museums, integrate more playful activities into the narrative path. A dynamic journey through time from the 1980s to today, aimed at making the experience increasingly immersive.

The protagonists of the exhibition and the interactive journey that will engage visitors are the following Ferrari supercars, which will be accompanied by preparatory models and EVO versions:

  • Ferrari GTO (1984): The first limited-series road car directly derived from racing experience.
  • Ferrari F40 (1987): The legend, a berlinetta with racing DNA, designed by Pininfarina and built with extensive use of composite materials.
  • Ferrari F50 (1995): The highest meeting point between a single-seater and a road car. Aesthetics at the service of aerodynamics.
  • Ferrari Enzo (2002): An extreme technological synthesis in homage to the Founder of the Prancing Horse in the year of the Scuderia’s dominance in Formula 1.
  • LaFerrari (2013): The first road car closest to a racing car, the first with hybrid Hy-Kers powertrain, designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre.

The pinnacle of the exhibition is the F80, the new supercar launched in October 2024, which will be presented at the Museum with an unprecedented dynamic narrative. For the first time, over the period of the exhibition, it will showcase the parts representing the evolutionary process leading up to the final model. From the development mule to the pre-series prototype to the last styling buck, these pieces will compose the "archive of tomorrow" with the latest creation from the Maranello company, thus continuing to enrich the extraordinary heritage of the Ferrari Archive for the future of the company.

The Ferrari Museums continue to attract growing interest from fans and enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse, so much so that in 2024, the Ferrari Museums in Modena and Maranello recorded a new attendance record with more than 850,000 visitors.

The "Supercars" exhibition will be open to visitors at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena until February 16, 2026.
