July 18th, 2019 – Ferrari officially launched its new V8 sports car, Ferrari F8 Tributo in Korea.

The official F8 Tributo launch event was held on a stage with the concept of a circuit that expresses Ferrari's sportiness and racing DNA at the Namsan J-Gran House on July 18th. The previous 8 cylinder models were also displayed at the entrance of the event place to show the history of Ferrari V8 sports cars.

F8 Tributo, unveiled at 2019 Geneva Motor Show last March, is equipped with an exclusive powerful V8 engine that has presented a new benchmark in the history of Ferrari’s engines. This V8 engine, which shows a maximum output of 720hp and has an output of 185hp per litre, won the Engine of the Year Award for fourth consecutive years from 2016 to 2019. In addition, it was recognized as the best engine of the past 20 years among all the engines.

With the weight lightening solution, the body of F8 Tributo became 40kg lighter than the 488 GTB, the previous model, maintaining the driving experience while having the improved sportiness and agility. In addition, a 10% increase in aerodynamic efficiency and the latest 6.1 version of the Side Slip Control system improves drivers’ control on the limit. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, the F8 Tributo recorded a lap time of 1:22.5 on Fiorano track demonstrating its performance of the highest level compared to competitors.

The exterior and interior design of F8 Tributo by Ferrari Styling Centre have enhanced the value of Ferrari’s design, reinterpreting the aerodynamic constraints and reflecting it on the body design. The S-duct, made its debut on the 488 Pista, has been redesigned for the F8 Tributo. It increased the downforce, supporting stable driving even under high speed driving. Moreover, Ferrari Styling Centre has focused on the bodywork lines in order to reveal Ferrari’s own design elements. In terms of the interior, Ferrari introduces next generation HMI(Human Machine Interface) system to enhance the on-board environment for driver and passenger while maintaining the driver-centered cockpit characterized by the Ferrari mid-rear engine berlinetta.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the Ferrari F8 Tributo to Korean audiences and truly expect this stunning new Ferrari V8 Sports car to become THE dream car for clients and fans around the country,” says Dieter Knechtel, CEO of Ferrari Far & Middle East. “The Ferrari F8 Tributo truly embodies the pinnacle of Italian excellence and the V8 engine is seen as the very epitome of sportiness and driving pleasure. With maximum level of usability, outstanding design and innovative technologies, we will provide a new level of driving experience to Korean customers.”
