(Seoul, 19 May 2020) - Ferrari successfully held the 2020 ‘Pilota Ferrari Around the World Korea’, a special driving training program for Ferrari customers, on 16th and 17th of May at the Yong-In Speedway.
The ‘Pilota Ferrari Around the World Korea’ is a one-on-one customized training program for Ferrari clients based on their skills and vehicles and conducted by professional instructors.
This year’s event was held for new clients who had no track experience. Participants enjoyed Ferrari’s powerful performance and learned various driving techniques through track activities guided by the professional instructors. Those who completed the training program obtained the Sports Course certification, the first level of ‘Corso Pilota Ferrari Driving Program’, Ferrari’s global customized driving training program.
In addition, a free of charge safety inspection was performed on all participants’ vehicles in order to ensure safety while driving on the circuit. This event was held after thorough disinfection procedures and under the management supervision to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Also, with a smaller scale than previous ‘Pilota Ferrari Around the World Korea’ events, this year’s event was able to reduce waiting time for participants and ensure smooth operation of the program.
To ensure that Ferrari’s racing DNA is constantly provided to customers even during the global COVID-19 pandemic, Ferrari plans to organize diverse smaller scale test driving events. Using the customer exclusive Ferrari pit in the Inje Speedium, Ferrari plans to provide customers with diverse small scale opportunities to experience track driving, including the Passione Ferrari track driving events.
“We hope that through this event our customers will not only improve their driving skills but also experience excellent Ferraris, and continue to enjoy Ferrari’s racing culture by completing all of the globally held Corso Pilota’s courses.”, said Cho Kyung-ho, the General Manager of Ferrari brand at FMK Co. Ltd, the official importer and distributor of Ferrari in South Korea.
FMK Co. Ltd, the official importer and distributor of Ferrari in South Korea, donated the total amount of the customer’s entry fee as a fund to support the children from low-income families in the areas affected by COVID-19, making the event even more meaningful.
