30 May 2024 – Ferrari unveiled the Ferrari 12Cilindri, a two-seater berlinetta powered by a naturally-aspirated V12, in Korea for the first time in Asia.

 Ferrari held the Ferrari 12Cilindri Asia Premiere event on May 30 at the Inspire Entertainment Resort in Incheon and unveiled the 12Cilindri, which is equipped with a naturally-aspirated, mid-front-mounted V12 that has been thrilling Prancing Horse enthusiasts the most. It has been just a month since its world debut in Miami, USA.

 V12, which represents the purest expression of Ferrari DNA, has been passed down from 1947 to the present day thanks to a constant innovation, reaching the highest peak. The Ferrari 12Cilindri is aimed at driving enthusiasts, but also at those who demand new standards of performance, comfort and design: long-standing Ferraristi, loyal to the unique emotions that only the Ferrari V12 can deliver, as well as new clients dreaming of combining comfort and Italian design with exhilarating driving pleasure. The Ferrari 12Cilindri is designed for connoisseurs with a very clear vision of what Ferrari’s DNA has always been, truly making it a car for the few.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri is inspired by the legendary Grand Tourers of the 1950s and ‘60s, embodying the front-mounted Ferrari V12 two-seater mission with its effortless combination of elegance, versatility, and performance. Its silhouette exudes sportiness and class: simple yet harmonious lines feature an integrated active aerodynamic device to guarantee peerless performance, a front-hinged bonnet that exalts the view of the engine bay, and the two twin tailpipes that have become a signature of Ferrari’s 12-cylinder cars. New chassis containing recycled aluminium, is conceived to elevate the performance levels and at the same time offer higher levels of comfort and spaciousness.

The 12Cilindri features a completely new styling code inspired by science fiction rather than anthropomorphic references, while still maintaining a link with Ferrari's heritage. 3 black screens characterize the outside design, creating a special contrast with the body color and resulting in a light and futuristic design that gives dynamism to the car even when standing still. The interiors of the 12Cilindri are technological, luxurious, and practical at the same time, thanks to a completely new design which seems to wrap around the occupants. The dual cockpit creates a spacious atmosphere, resulting in a symmetrical and welcoming space. The central display is very practical and improves the human-machine interface (HMI) experience for both passengers, while also being perfectly integrated into the dashboard design with its understated look.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri’s engine is the latest development of the iconic V12 that laid the foundations for the Maranello legend, in this version unleashing 830 cv and with maximum revs rising to a heady 9500 rpm. The impressive power curve ensures 80% of total torque is already available at just 2500 rpm, resulting in instantaneous pick-up for maximum accelerator response and a feeling of never-ending power all the way to the red line.

 The powertrain of 12Cilindri is derived from the 812 Competizione and coupled with the new 8-speed gearbox, therefore creating a racing engine on a car which can be easily driven every day. And the Aspirated Torque Shaping has allowed to fully exploit the pure performances of the engine in a controlled and easy way, making it enjoyable in any condition and not only on the racetrack. In the terms of soundtrack, it is pivotal to marrying the comfort, luxury and exhilarating driving emotions typical of a Ferrari V12: to this end, every element of the intake and exhaust lines were optimised.

 The 12Cilindri delivers refined performance through a combination of innovations. Active aerodynamics are perfectly integrated into the design of the car and are activated only when needed delivering +50 kg of extra downforce on demand, precisely when conditions require it. With a wheelbase 20mm shorter than the 812superfast, coupled with independent rear-wheel steering, the car delivers incredible agility at low to medium speeds and enhanced stability at high speeds. Additionally, extremely powerful braking, thanks to brake-by-wire technology with ABS-evo, is managed by the new 6-way chassis dynamic sensor, which collects extremely fast and detailed inputs in any dynamic condition. Another key feature is the latest Side Slip Control, which perfectly dials in all the systems in fractions of seconds.
